Global Context
This question its asks how does my issue present itself across the globe? Well this bullying is all over the world. This happens everywhere, like in japan, Europe, Africa, Mexico, etc. So many people who see this bullying don’t do anything about it. “When he finally walked away, another kid – apparently angry at this kid’s social weakness – pushed him into a wall and wouldn’t let him move. About 3-4 boys were actively bullying him, while 5-7 stood laughing and cracking jokes.” (On Being Bullied in Japan).
The bullying is not only happening physically but also going on the Internet. This type of bullying is called cyber bullying. Cyber bulling is the use of electronic communication to bully a person, typically by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening nature. In japan they did a survey and “Japan has more than 38 000 unofficial middle- and high-school websites that are not overseen by the schools, and harassment, sexual content and violent slang are prevalent among them, an Education Ministry survey showed.” (Cyber-bullying common among Japan's children.) A ministry officer said, “We didn’t really know what exactly was going on there”.
My issue can be an issue that could be solve by the global level. It will just need some help from the rest of the world. People need to stop being scare about doing things that will stop the issues that bothers them. They also need to talk to their parents about cyber bullying. Like have them help you block you phone or you computer and have a limited amount of people message you. Also another way is helping make a website such as http://www.endcyberbullying.org and help create a large group of people who want to stop bullying as well.
